We are in the hills of the Alta Langha, a World Heritage area, home of Hazelnuts, rare truffles and some of the world's finest wines. We are two hrs south east of Turin, just over two hrs south west of Milan, two and a half hrs north east of Nice, and one and a half hrs west of Genua.

From our doorstep
On foot and bicycle, you can explore the paths and woodland tracks around Prunetto, take a short stroll up to the 13th century castle and Santuario or perhaps a longer trip along the ridge to the beautiful village of Bergolo.
Prunetto has a bakery, a butcher's, lunch time food at Ristorante Della Piazza, and evening food at Cascina Rudino (not every day). We are 10 minutes drive from a well stocked supermarket.
The Langha
The home of hazelnuts (and chocolate spread), some of the world's finest wines, birth place of the slow food movement ,and countless historic hill top towns. That's why it is an UNESCO World Heritage site.
Quiet roads for cycling and driving, lots of stopping places to taste the famous wines and cuisine they produce: The reds of Nebbiolo, Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Dolcetto, as well as fine whites such as Favorita, Arneis and Chardonnay.
The Alps
It is less than a 2hr drive to the Alps. A summer and winter paradise for walking, cycling and skiing.
Liguria and the Mediterranean Coast
You can't quite see the sea from us, but you can from nearby Mombarcaro. We are a short drive from the beaches of the Italian Riviera (such as Varazze), the medieval village of Noli; and Finale Ligure (home of mountain biking on the Mediterranean).
Villages, Towns & Cities
We are an hour from Alba and its famous Truffle Fair, or the old hilltop town of Mondovi. Under two hrs to Genova with its sprawling old town and in reach of the magnificent cities of Turin and Milan.
Just passing through?
We are not far off the autoroutes south to Cinque Terre, Portofino and further south to Tuscany. We are an hr from Savona and the ferries to Corsica and Sardinia.
